Emotional first look & Ceremony at historic castle ruins
The wedding day started out with a relaxed morning at the FREIgeist Hotel in the city center of Göttingen. The groom Achilleas had his two brothers by his side, who were all jokes and smiles. The bride Christina was with her best friend in her own suite having a blast. Her beautiful Hair & Make-Up was done by the talented Sabine Bierschenk.
The couple had a special wish - to have their first look on the rooftop terrace and share their vows in private. When they first laid eyes on each other the amount of love between them was evident, even before speaking the words. They had met by chance in Greece on the island of Crete, where Achilleas family owns a hotel. Achilleas was at the reception when Christina and her contagious smile entered the scene and the spark was immediate. And still burning bright to this day.
They arrived at their ceremony in style driving a vintage Porsche. The Hardenberg castle (Burgruine Hardenberg) is over 1000 years old and towers over the countryside in ruins. It is a fairytale like backdrop, where their families were already waiting for them. The room was filled with the sounds of guitars, singing and heartfelt laughter.
The reception & celebration took place at Kredo, a lakeside restaurant in Göttingen with the most incredible food. More laughter, speeches, hugs and Ouzo were shared till late at night.

What if I'm not comfortable sharing my vows in front of all of my guests?
Not everybody is comfortable exchanging vows in front of a lot of people. Instead of doing without them altogether you could share them in privacy instead.
In combination with First Look: If you're planning on a First Look you'll be in the perfect settings for private vows automatically, right before going into your ceremony together.
At sunset: Or how about waiting for sunset and stealing away from your party for a little while to share your vows? It's also a great opportunity to take those perfect golden light portraits while out.
